When you are ready to build a quality slowflyer, the DuskStik™ is for you. With a carbon fiber fuselage and balsa wings, the DuskStik™ will take a beating and still keep flying. With its light weight and efficient wing, it will fly low and slow and only needs a few feet to take off. The wing can be built either as a polydihedral or as a dihedral with a wingspan of 42", or build the 49" extended wing for thermal chasing.
All the sheet balsa and plywood is laser cut for quick, precise building. The DuskStik™ is designed to accept the popular and inexpensive GWS A motor and microelectronics.
Best of all is how it flies. With power to spare, the DuskStik™ can handle breezes that would ground other slowflyers, or, on a calm day, throttle back and float lazily around the sky.
The simple screwless servo mount lets you remove servos in seconds, yet they won't move around in a crash.
Precision, laser cut parts ensures a perfect fit, with no cutting or sanding. This creates a fast and stress free construction.
Break-away motor mount prevents bent propeller shafts, and broken gear boxes in the event of a less that perfect landing.
Well designed laser cut tail feathers make building easy.
The DuskStik™ has been designed to take the abuse of the beginner pilot, and yet will delight the experienced pilot with its well-behaved flying characteristics. The DuskStik™ kit uses quality components throughout. It contains all the wood, carbon fiber, kevlar thread, etc. to complete the airframe. It even contains the Velcro for attaching the battery. The builder needs to supply the motor, prop, battery, and electronics.
The 17-page manual has been written with the first time builder in mind and is filled with photographs to help the builder understand the process. The plans were drawn with AutoCAD to assure accuracy and precision.
